Why I知 in College

I am in collage now because I知 an idiot. Yes I知 being sarcastic, but it痴 still true. All through my life until the last few years, I felt that because I knew the prescribed genre of, whatever was my choice, that I had the skills to hold a job doing that.

I was wrong, and was even told that a thousand times. That little piece a paper you get at graduation is very much sought after for a reason.

My mother told me for years that to just have the knowledge is great but the certificate is worth more than any gold I could get. She was greatly exaggerating, but I never understood her words anyway.

Currently I am enrolled in the courses at . My final result will be an associate痴 degree, and my plans are to become a paralegal, and possibly to go further and become a lawyer.

The funny part of this, most states have no requirement for qualification for a paralegal except to be working in a law office. No piece of paper required, but I want it this time. Some paralegal positions require a paralegal certificate, a diploma you get after taking an accredited course in paralegal studies. But these certificates, and the positions that require them, are mostly for people who wish to be career paralegals. So don\'t fear -- there are plenty of positions available for recent college grads that don\'t require a paralegal certificate.

According to the American Bar Association, a paralegal is "a person qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. Wooh! This is not hard thing to live up to. You have a job in a law office, therefore you are a paralegal.

I want better. I want to be the guy they know the lawyer will come to get correct information. Schooling is the way I think that will happen.
