In the play “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare, Juliet is in a predicament. Load Capulet is going to force her to marry Paris. Juliet is shocked and doesn’t know what to do. She goes to Friar Lawrence for advice. He suggests she take a drink of a magical potion that will make her look dead, but really she is in a deep sleep, so she wont have to marry Paris and her true love, Romeo will find her soon after. Juliet is so thankful that Friar Lawrence gives her this wonderful idea. The day before Juliet is supposed to marry Paris, she will take the potion. But a few things stop her. Juliet Fears taking the potion because she thinks that it wont work at all, and she’ll end up marrying Paris, she thinks that maybe Friar is lying and it’s a poison, and because the thought of her waking before Romeo gets to her.

Juliet is afraid to take the potion because she thinks it won’t work at all. She states “What if the mixture does not work at all?” Juliet fears this and that she will end up marrying Paris. But then she has faith in it and believes it will work.

Juliet is scared to drink the potion because she thinks Friar Lawrence has made it a poison. I can see why Juliet would think that. It’s a mysterious liquid that she has never taken before, although Friar is very honest and would never hurt Juliet. Juliet says to herself “What if it be a poison?” The she realizes Friar is a holy man and married her and Romeo first. She also knows that Friar would be killed if he did.

Juliet is anticipating on drinking the potion because she thinks she might wake before Romeo gets to her. She says that if she does, she will “be stiffed in the vault”. Juliet thinks that people will find out she really isn’t dead and not let her Marry Romeo.

Juliet Fears taking the potion because she thinks that it wont work at all, and she’ll end up marrying Paris, she thinks that maybe Friar is lying and it’s a poison, and because the thought of her waking before Romeo gets to her. All these things that Juliet has feared, never actually happened. Instead, the messenger wasn’t able to give Romeo the letter. Romeo found out from someone else that Juliet had died. Romeo went to the tomb, to find Paris next to Juliet. Paris threatens to kill Romeo, but Romeo just wanted to see Juliet. Paris thought Romeo was going to vandalize the tomb, so he drew on Romeo, they fraught and Romeo killed Paris. Romeo didn’t know about the potion that Juliet had taken, so he really thought she was dead. Romeo then drank a poison that killed him. Moments later Juliet woke to find Romeo dead next to her. She was so shocked that she herself kissed Romeo then stabber herself with a dagger.
