A Woman on the BeachMy body froze, when I noticed you over there.
I seen the way your hair flew in the air.
Who are you, what’s your name, could it be Sue?
We should’ve met, but it wouldn’t be fair.
You are constantly surrounded by men.
I would wish or hoped badly you weren’t.
There are like eight, nine, and maybe even ten.
Then you and me can flow like a current.
You are the one I always dreamed of.
You are probably not a stupid shrew.
You are a woman really high above.
If we do not meet, I will die over you.
You were beautiful, awesome at first sight.
If I have to get to you, I will fight.

Dulce Et Decorum EstDulce Et Decorum Est St. Patrick’s Comprehensive If I was to create an advertisement for television based on the poem “Dulce Et Decorum Est” by Wilfred Owen I would start with an aerial shot of a graveyard, the shot would be in colour, and at the bottom right of the screen where there would be a path leading along the graves, the only sound that can be heard is that of bird chirping and fluttering, I would then have the camera begin to spiral round the graveyard, slowly lowering itself, but alwa
The PoemThe Poem The poem is one of the most powerful ways to convey an idea or opinion. Through vivid imagery, compelling metaphors, and convincing tone, the poem gives the reader the exact feeling the author wanted. The poem Dulce et Decorum Est, an anti-war poem by Wilfred Owen, makes great use of these devices. The tone of the speaker depicts the images he wanted the reader to see what war is really like. Owen\'s use of exact descriptive language and vivid figurative language emphasizes his point,
The OdysseyThe Odyssey The theme of The Odyssey is one of homecoming and reunion with loved ones. Though the proem of the epic states that Odysseus’ own purpose is simply the fight to save his own life and return his shipmates home safely, the gods of Olympus are the unknown captains of this journey. It is an epic story of the making of men, mainly Odysseus and Telemakhos. Homer methodically details the struggles set forth by the gods. The contests of Odysseus’ wisdom, honor, piety and prudence. The Great FloodThe Great Flood The Biblical story of the flood has many similarities to the Greco-Roman myth about a great flood. The Biblical account about a flood wiping out all people except Noah and his family also has some similarities to the ancient Sumerian story of a great flood. The myriad similarities between the Biblical story of a flood and the stories from Greece, Rome, and Sumeria of a great flood show that the Bible is not just a religious book but also contains an accurate record of historic ev
