Poem 2- A time to Believe, by B.J. Morbitzer
Title: A time to believe could mean that you have to know when to start believing things will get better in order to actually get better
Paraphrase: In a time of darkness, it's important to know when to start believing in order to rise up
Connotation: The implied meaning is that knowing when to believe is the start to getting better, the poet conveys this by giving imagery using words like stardust sky, eyes, hand, etc.
Attitude: The attitude of the poem is inspirational, it conveys a positive vibe, telling the reading the beginning to rising up.
Shift:
Title: A time to believe means the same when I analyzed the poem, that if your starting to give up, knowing when to start believing things will get better will help make up rise.
Theme: The poet is trying to tell the reader that things start looking up once you start believing they will.
