Oklahoma Bombing

20th US History

April 19, 1995 will be a day that will be remembered forever. Timothy McVeigh bombed the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City. 168 people were killed and more than 500 people were left wounded. This attack was important because it was the first domestic terrorist attack on America. This attack will also be remembered because there is still a lot of controversy about it. Some feel like the government was behind the attack because they were trying to pass a bill that made it easier to tap into phone lines. They couldn’t get it to pass by themselves so some people feel that they arranged this attack, because the bill was passed soon after, but no matter what someone believes about it, it will still be an important event to America.
